My name is Lance. I'm a 21 year old boy from Texas. I don't post a ton on my blog, I don't like to overload your dash, so don't worry about floods, I just post once or twice a day.
Hope you enjoy my blog, feel free to message me, I love meeting new people. :3
Fingermask 5 Now at a different time of day! I never really know when to release these. 8:00 pm usually seems to do the trick, but I decided I’d try it a bit earlier. Hope you enjoy my friend Michael’s fingermask! :) And don’t forget you can always submit a fingermask of your own!
Fingermask 4
This ones a bit different, but I like it! I had this vision of how I wanted a pose to look so I ended up having to do it myself. I actually drew another page before it, but I felt like releasing them out of order. dealwithit.gif
ON a sidenote: I’m kinda bummed at the lack of entries :( I mean don’t get me wrong I had about 10 people submit pictures (2 of which are already printed, ready to be drawn and painted ;) ) but I hoped I’d have a bigger pool! so to make the insentive a bit sweeter, I added prizes to the pot: If you get chosen, not only will you get a signed print of the drawing I did of you, but when I finish, I’ll randomly select one person to get a free copy of the book! :) Hopefully this add some more interest. Please submit pictures of yourself here!
Fingermask 3
So my friend Kyle has these really cool pinkys that allow him to make hearts with his hands in a very unique way. He was nice enough to model for me, and I got this really cool picture to draw. I hope you like the results! Remember, if you’d like to be drawn feel free to submit a picture to my ask box! :)
Wanna be featured in my newest Sketchbook? :)
I’m very excited to tell ya’ll the most exciting part (IMO) of this new sketchbook. I’m opening it up to you guys to enter a picture of yourself!
If I like the picture you submit enough, It will be drawn and featured in my newest sketchbook, Fingermask! The guidelines are quite simple:
- The dimensions of the pages are 5.25x9 inches, so please don’t let your photo exceed either of these.
- The point of this sketchbook is to deal with masks made out of human hands, so naturally the photo should have your hand overlapping at least some part of your face!
- Be creative! The more interesting your photo is, the more weird things you can do with your hands, the better.
As an added bonus: If I choose to draw/paint you for my sketchbook project you will get a free high quality print of your picture sent to you in the mail as a “Thank You” for contributing. :) Just take a picture or two, and either upload them and send them to me in my ask box, or link me to them. :)
Disclaimer: By submitting a photo, you’re giving me license to use the image as part of my series, and in some instances profit off of the image via sales of the finished product. So if you don’t want the picture put in an actual book and sold, then please don’t submit one! <3
Fingermask 2
Today I drew my friend Edith doing her version of a fingermask. I hope you enjoy! :) Paint, Marker, and India Ink all on recycled brown paper.
Fingermask 1
Okay, so you may have seen the other version of this I did with kool-aid, but I really wasn’t satisfied with the end result, and couldn’t commit to an entire project where I didn’t like the final project. So, I rethought the project and went back to my first instincts of aesthetics. And here we go! I’m much more satisfied with this look, and you can look forward to the series!
Done with White paint, Colored Markers, and India ink pens on recycled brown bag paper. (Thanks again to Mitch, the most attractive model an artist could ask for.)
Fingermask - 1
The first picture of my new book project!! I’m not completely satisfied with how it came out, but it will have to do for now. I’ll probably re-paint it later. Anyway this new sketchbook is about people making masks with their hands! This one is my good friend, and one of the most gorgeous people I know, Mitch!
Painted in Kool-aid. :)
